We’re hiring an Implementation Consultant to set up new clients on Paycheck Plus, our outsourced payroll service.

This role is about building payrolls properly from the start. You’ll configure payrolls, validate data, and run first payrolls so clients can move into live processing smoothly and with confidence.

Experience with Irish payroll is a real advantage. Paycheck Plus supports clients with Irish payroll requirements, so understanding how Irish payroll works - in practice, not just in theory - is key to getting implementations right.

Why This Role Matters

Payroll implementations are high-impact. If the setup isn’t right, problems follow.

As an Implementation Consultant, you make sure:

  • Payrolls are built accurately and compliantly from day one
  • Clients trust the service before their first live run
  • Payroll teams can take over confidently once implementation is complete

Your work directly protects employees being paid correctly and clients staying compliant.

About the Team You'll Join

You’ll join a Professional Services team of five, made up of Implementation Consultants and Implementation Consultant Associates.

The team focuses purely on client onboarding and setup, working closely with Payroll, Product, Technical Support, and Account Management. It’s a structured, supportive team where accuracy, planning, and clear communication really matter.

What You'll Be Doing

Payroll Implementation & Client Onboarding

  • Own the payroll setup from start to finish
  • Create payroll companies and import employee records
  • Configure payrolls so they’re ready to be processed on the client’s behalf
  • Check and validate employee, pay, and bank details
  • Run the first parallel or live payroll before handing over to the payroll processing team

Working with Clients & Internal Teams

  • Gather and confirm payroll data from clients and colleagues
  • Communicate mainly by email, with calls where needed
  • Explain what’s required in a clear, practical way
  • Ensure everything is ready for a smooth go-live

Managing Delivery

  • Manage multiple implementations at the same time
  • Plan your workload and meet agreed timelines
  • Spot risks or missing information early and address them
  • Work closely with payroll, product, and technical teams

Documentation & Handover

  • Create clear documentation and implementation notes
  • Support the first payroll run to ensure stability
  • Hand over fully configured payrolls to the processing team

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Solid payroll knowledge and understanding of how payrolls are built and run
  • Experience implementing payroll or people-management systems
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Strong organisation and time management
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • High attention to detail, especially when working with payroll data
  • A calm, professional approach when working with clients
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills

Desirable

  • Experience processing or implementing Irish payroll
  • Knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and ROS

What You’ll Gain

  • A clear role with ownership and responsibility
  • Hands-on experience delivering payroll implementations end to end
  • Exposure to Irish payroll within a supported environment
  • Training, structure, and support to help you succeed
  • A collaborative team focused on doing things properly
