The opportunity

We’re looking for a Head of Transactional Accounting to lead our end-to-end transactional finance operations, spanning Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control and Billing Operations.

This is a high-impact leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence, customer experience, cash performance and transformation across a large, multi-site team. You’ll also play a key role in integrating newly acquired businesses and embedding automation and AI into core finance processes.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading large transactional finance teams across multiple locations

  • Improving customer ordering, invoicing and payment journeys

  • Driving effective credit control and cash collection performance

  • Owning transactional finance integration for acquisitions

  • Partnering on finance systems transformation initiatives

  • Implementing process standardisation, automation and AI

  • Overseeing AP operations, controls and KPIs

  • Ensuring strong KYC and governance frameworks

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience leading transactional finance functions

  • Strong people leadership skills across large teams

  • Proven track record of process improvement and transformation

  • Experience with systems change and business integration

  • Ability to operate at pace in a complex, growing organisation

  • Degree qualified; accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) preferred
