We’re recruiting Client Payroll Administrators to join our Payroll Services team. This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, detail-oriented and customer-focused, and who are looking to build a career within payroll or shared services.

You’ll play a key role in supporting Payroll Managers and Team Leaders by ensuring payroll administration is accurate, compliant and delivered to a high standard.

This role will be recruited via an in-person assessment centre at our Manchester office on Monday 19th January 2026 from 10:00 to 15:30. Please only apply for the role if you are available to attend on this date. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the accurate processing of client payrolls

  • Managing and maintaining client documentation and records

  • Updating documentation for newly onboarded clients

  • Maintaining monthly spreadsheets and payroll trackers

  • Handling incoming calls and directing queries appropriately

  • Verifying BACS and HMRC submissions for accuracy and timeliness

  • Completing data entry checks and audit log reviews

  • Supporting year-end processes, including distribution of P60s

  • Providing general administrative support to Payroll Managers and Team Leads

What we’re looking for

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Good organisation and time-management skills

  • A customer-focused mindset with clear communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and support a busy payroll function

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Previous experience in payroll or administration is beneficial but not essential — full training and support will be provided.

  • Location: IRIS Manchester office

  • Date: Monday 19 January 2026

  • Format: Group exercise(s), task-based assessment and competency interview

  • Screening calls: Starting week commencing 5 January 2026.
