This is a Fixed Term, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Summary :

As a successful candidate you will be working in the IRIS Accountancy Solutions business unit.  This part of IRIS produces software for UK accountancy practices.  You will be working as the lead developer in an Agile team to deliver our Making Tax Digital compliance software.

You will be adding new migration function to extract and transform data from one system and send the data to a new system for it to be ingested.  This is a critical project which requires someone with a can-do attitude and a collaborative way of working

Responsibilities :

 

  • Translating technical requirements into application code and modules.
  • Making modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications and industry standards.
  • Developing and integrating software solutions per written specifications. May also be responsible for writing detailed design specifications
  • Developing software application modules using disciplined software development processes.
  • Participating in reviews of own work and in reviews of the work of colleagues.
  • Unit testing of modules they have developed or modified, ensuring application meets needs of client and business.
  • Work collaboratively in an agile environment, being proactive to work with others to deliver sprint and release goals.
  • Leading the development team, helping them to understand what is required and to provide technical guidance and expertise.
