The Role

We're looking for a driven and commercially focused New Business Sales Executive to join our growing Accountancy Sales team.

In this field-based role, you'll be responsible for identifying and winning new business opportunities across our market-leading Accountancy portfolio. You'll manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and qualifying opportunities through to negotiation and contract signature.

Working closely with Business Development, Marketing, Pre-Sales and Customer Success teams, you'll build relationships with accountancy firms of all sizes, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how IRIS solutions can help them improve efficiency, remain compliant and grow their business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify, develop and secure new logo business across the UK accountancy market.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals and marketing-generated leads.
  • Develop strategic territory plans to maximise new business opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial discovery through to contract signature.
  • Qualify opportunities using MEDDICC principles.
  • Create account plans and deal strategies to maximise win rates.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within Salesforce.
  • Deliver reliable monthly and quarterly forecasts.
  • Build trusted relationships with Partners, Practice Managers, Finance Directors and senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver consultative sales conversations focused on solving customer challenges.
  • Present tailored demonstrations and commercial proposals alongside Pre-Sales consultants.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Share best practice and contribute to a high-performing sales culture.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding new business sales targets within SaaS, software or technology sales.
  • Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Experience engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Knowledge of structured sales methodologies such as MEDDICC.
  • Experience managing pipeline and forecasting within Salesforce or a CRM.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and territory planning skills.

Desirable

  • Experience selling into the accountancy sector.
  • Knowledge of practice management, tax, payroll or compliance software.
  • Experience selling subscription-based software solutions.
