At Every, we help schools run more smoothly.

From HR and payroll to finance and staff management, our software supports schools with the systems they rely on every day. As more schools move to Every, we’re growing our implementation team and looking for an internal IRIS employee to join us as a Consultant, HR & Payroll (Level 3).

This role is a fantastic next-step opportunity for someone currently working within:

  • Payroll processing
  • Payroll bureau or managed payroll services
  • Payroll software support
  • HR or payroll customer support
  • Payroll operations or administration

…who wants to move into a more project-based, customer-facing consultancy role while continuing to build their career within payroll and SaaS.

This isn’t a back-office payroll processing role. You’ll work directly with schools to help implement Every’s HR & Payroll software - guiding customers through onboarding, setup, training, rollout, and go-live.

You’ll become a trusted expert for customers while developing broader consultancy, implementation, and project delivery experience within IRIS Software Group.

🧾Why This Role Matters

Payroll in schools is complex, and customers need someone who understands the real-world challenges they face.

This role is about combining payroll knowledge with customer guidance, helping schools successfully move onto Every’s HR & Payroll platform in a way that feels clear, organised, and well supported.

It’s also a great opportunity to broaden your experience internally - moving beyond operational payroll or support work into consultancy, implementations, customer engagement, and SaaS delivery.

👥About the Team You'll Join

You’ll join our Every Implementation team within Education Professional Services - a collaborative group of around 15 Implementation and Training Consultants supporting schools across the UK.

We’re continuing to build dedicated HR & Payroll expertise within Every, so this role will play an important part in shaping how payroll implementations are delivered moving forward.

📊What You'll Be Doing

As a Consultant (HR & Payroll), you’ll be:

  • Delivering HR & Payroll software implementations for education customers
  • Guiding schools through onboarding, setup, rollout, and go-live
  • Delivering customer training sessions
  • Supporting customers with payroll processes, configuration, troubleshooting, and queries
  • Building strong customer relationships throughout projects
  • Managing multiple implementation projects at the same time
  • Working closely with Product, Support, and Payroll teams
  • Helping improve implementation processes and customer experience over time

🔎What We’re Looking For

The payroll side is the most important part of this role.

We’re especially interested in internal IRIS employees who have genuinely worked within payroll environments and understand the day-to-day challenges payroll teams and customers face.

You’ll likely be a strong fit if you have experience in areas such as:

  • Payroll software support
  • Payroll bureau or managed payroll services
  • Education payroll
  • Payroll operations or administration
  • Customer-facing payroll support

We’d also love to see:

  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and payroll processes
  • Experience working with HR or Payroll software platforms
  • Confidence communicating with customers
  • Good Excel and data-handling skills
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • The ability to explain complex topics in a simple, clear way
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Experience with Staffology Payroll would be helpful, but isn’t essential.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who combines payroll knowledge with the ability to build trust with customers and guide them through change confidently.

🚀 Why Apply?

  • A genuine opportunity to progress your career within IRIS
  • Move from payroll operations/support into consultancy and implementations
  • Develop broader SaaS, project, and customer-facing experience
  • Use your payroll knowledge in a more varied and visible role
  • Help shape how HR & Payroll implementations are delivered within Every
  • Join a supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Gain exposure to multiple teams and stakeholders across IRIS
