We’re looking for a confident, creative, and collaborative Content Editor to join our Education Marketing team at IRIS Software Group. You’ll help shape how we communicate with schools, trusts, and education leaders across UK State, Independent, and International education markets. 🎓🌍
You’ll play a major role in writing, editing, and optimising high-impact content that drives demand, retention, and growth across our education portfolio—including MIS, HR, finance, parental engagement, and analytics solutions.

🎯 What You’ll Do
✏️ Content Development & Delivery
Write, edit, and optimise long-form and high-value content: whitepapers, customer stories, blogs, newsletters, thought leadership, and product pages.
Shape tone of voice, messaging frameworks, and campaign goals with the Director of Marketing.
Localise content for key segments (MATs, Independent schools, International).
Repurpose long-form content into multi-channel assets.
Explore the smart use of AI tools for workflow, ideation, and optimisation. 🤖✨
📅 Content Operations & Workflow
Own and maintain the editorial calendar aligned to campaign plans.
Upload, edit, and format content across CMS platforms (HubSpot, WordPress).
Collaborate with product, sales, design, and marketing to deliver content on time.
Lead content QA, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints. 🧩
🔍 SEO, AEO & Performance
Conduct keyword + topic research (SEMrush).
Optimise content for search visibility and engagement across emerging discovery platforms (AEO).
Track, analyse, and report on performance metrics. 📊
🤝 Customer & Campaign Support
Develop customer-facing content (onboarding guides, newsletters, how-to articles).
Coordinate with partners and associations for features and advertorials.
Write case studies, working closely with account managers and customers.
💡 What You Bring
Must-Have
Proven experience in content writing/editing (B2B or SaaS preferred).
Strong understanding of SEO and content optimisation.
Hands-on CMS experience (HubSpot, WordPress).
Exceptional written English + superb attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
Comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in the education sector or public/regulated markets.
Familiarity with marketing automation (Marketo, Campaign Monitor).
Understanding of design briefing, video scripting, and content repurposing.
Knowledge of accessibility and content governance best practices.
