🎯 Purpose of the Role

The Product Operations Manager plays a key role in driving operational excellence across product teams. You will introduce and scale AI-driven efficiencies, modern product tooling, strong governance frameworks, and clear operational standards—ensuring product teams work faster, smarter, and more consistently.

This role enables IRIS to build better products by improving workflows, enhancing decision-making with data, and embedding robust processes that are measurable, repeatable, and auditable. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Customer Success to strengthen how product teams deliver.

📌 Key Responsibilities

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Implement and optimise product development processes

  • Use AI and automation to remove bottlenecks and improve delivery speed

  • Establish strong governance frameworks, workflows and compliance controls

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation across teams

Enable Data-Driven Decisions

  • Define, track and report on KPIs (e.g., deployment frequency, MTTR, roadmap progress)

  • Build dashboards and operational insights for proactive decision-making

Champion Continuous Improvement

  • Lead retros, operational reviews and health checks

  • Use data and feedback to refine processes and improve product outcomes

  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning and optimisation

Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the “connective tissue” between Product, Engineering, Data Science and GTM teams

  • Work with Customer Success to build structured customer feedback loops

Lead Change Management

  • Develop change plans for new tools, processes and governance

  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure adoption and alignment

Promote DE&I

  • Champion inclusive practices across product operations and team processes

Required

  • Experience supporting SaaS product development

  • Strong understanding of governance, workflows and audit controls

  • Skilled in process optimisation and continuous improvement

  • Proficient in dashboards, metrics and analytics

  • Hands-on with tools like Jira, Confluence, Aha!

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration (including engineering)

  • Commercial awareness and customer focus

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Desirable

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum

  • Experience with SaaS compliance or operational frameworks
