Paycheck Plus is Ireland’s leading and award-winning payroll outsourcing provider for small and medium-sized businesses. From our headquarters in Drogheda, we manage payrolls for clients across Ireland and beyond, combining accuracy, compliance, and care to make sure employees are paid correctly, on time, every time.

We’re also part of the global IRIS Software Group, which means the work we do here in Ireland contributes to a worldwide reputation for payroll excellence.

We’re now looking for an experienced Senior Client Payroll Executive to join our growing team and help us continue delivering the exceptional service our clients rely on.

This position can be based in either the UK or Ireland, with flexibility to work remotely while collaborating closely with our Drogheda-based team.

Why This Role Matters

Payroll is the backbone of every business. Get it right, and employees are happy, businesses run smoothly, and trust is built. Get it wrong, and the impact can be huge.

As a Senior Client Payroll Executive, you’ll play a key role in:

  • Protecting trust – ensuring payrolls are accurate, compliant, and on time.
  • Solving problems – handling complex queries, supporting clients through challenges, and giving them confidence that their payroll is in safe hands.
  • Supporting leadership – stepping in for the Team Lead when needed, keeping everything running smoothly.
  • Driving improvements – contributing ideas to make our payroll services even better, faster, and smarter.

Your work will directly impact our clients, their employees, and the success of Paycheck Plus within the wider IRIS Group.

About the Team You'll Join

You’ll be part of a close-knit team of 10 payroll professionals, ranging from new starters to seasoned experts. We support each other, share knowledge, and celebrate wins together. Every day is different – you’ll learn something new and gain exposure to a wide variety of payrolls and industries.

For those who want to progress, we’ll provide the training, mentoring, and opportunities to move into supervisory or management roles.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Running monthly payrolls for some of our most important ROI clients, ensuring everything is 100% accurate and compliant.
  • Supporting the Client Payroll Team Lead with planning workloads and stepping up in their absence.
  • Resolving client complaints, Revenue queries, journal issues, and portal problems.
  • Carrying out quality checks and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, GDPR, KPIs and other standards.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor for clients and their employees, providing friendly and professional support on payroll matters.
  • Building strong relationships with our client base, including global brands.
  • Getting involved in payroll process improvement projects, system upgrades, automation, and testing.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Significant Irish payroll experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with Sage Micropay, ARW, payroll journals, CSO returns, benefits etc.
  • Strong skills in Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills – able to manage your own busy schedule.
  • Clear and confident English communication skills, written and verbal.
  • A genuine team-player attitude – willing to support others while working independently.
  • Curiosity and initiative – keen to spot improvements and drive better ways of working.

What You’ll Gain

  • The chance to work for Ireland’s top payroll provider within a global software group.
  • A role where your skills are valued, and your work makes a direct difference.
  • Career development opportunities – with support to grow into team lead or management roles.
  • Exposure to high-profile clients and international payroll operations.
  • A collaborative and supportive environment, with colleagues who share your passion for payroll.
