Purpose :

We are looking for an Agile Delivery Manager /Scrum master responsible for delivery of various software modules and integrations for the Education Every Portfolio, used by 1000’s of schools in the UK to manage HR, payroll and Compliance processes. Your primary focus will be orchestrating and optimizing the development, maintenance, and support of existing and new software and data integrations, ensuring high quality and performance to requests from client systems.

You will be a key part of an agile development and delivery teams that are responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, test and launching.

Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
  • Own agile delivery artifacts including RAID management and dependency tracking for the teams
  • Help create a culture based on high cooperation, sharing risks and encouraging growth
  • Assist the product owners with keeping the backlogs groomed
  • Ensure cross-team coordination
  • Actively removing blockers and protecting the teams from outside interruptions and distractions
  • Help define clear goals for the engineering delivery teams
  • Appropriate resource to task allocation, estimation, and performance monitoring
  • Use and reporting of key agile metrics and tools like Plandek to improve efficiencies
  • Coach the team members to optimize agile delivery
  • Promote and optimize agile delivery by seeking to continuously improve deployment frequently, reduce lead time and resolve incidents quickly.

Qualifications :

  • BSC or equivalent in a software engineering or Project management discipline advantageous
  • Additional qualifications in software security, delivery, or adjacent streams advantageous.
  • Certified scrum master professional certification advantageous
  • Microsoft Azure professional certification advantageous

Experience :

  • You must have proven experience of being an Agile lead or playing the role of Scrum Master in a cross functional team
  • Experience of delivering cloud solutions through CI / CD essential
  • Understanding of Software delivery workflow tools e.g., JIRA, Azure pipelines
  • Understanding of Software delivery workflow processes e.g., Change Advisory boards, Defect Triage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong decision making and organizational
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help solve complex problems
