Our Accountancy practice is seeking a skilled Senior Business Analyst with experience in UK Tax to join their dynamic team. 

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams to analyse changes in legislation and government procedures. The role will require interpreting those changes and documenting how our different software solutions will need to be altered to ensure compliance is maintained for our customers.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Analyst in the Tax team, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Provide statutory tax knowledge and experience to our Engineering team 

  • Be aware of any upcoming HMRC changes that will affect the product and our customer base 

  • Research and analyze how changes in legislation and compliance affect the product 

  • Produce user story acceptance criteria 

  • Produce supporting documentation, both internal and external facing 

  • Provide product expert testing in areas of expertise 

  • Investigate and respond to tier 3 customer queries 

  • Collaborate with Agile teams  

  • Escalate product issues and suggest product improvements 

  • Ensure adherence to internal software processes as required by manager 

 

Experience :

High level of competence in at least one of these fields 

  1. Corporation Tax 

  2. Partnerships 

  3. Sole Traders 

  4. Self Assessment for Individuals, Trusts and Partnerships

  • Experience of using software packages for preparing statutory year end account Tax Returns (IRIS Accountancy Solutions products would be preferable). 

  • Understanding of accountancy practice processes desirable

  • Excellent Analytical skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong UK Tax Expertise 

  • IT skills including installing software
