This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

The Role:

We’re on the lookout for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. You’ll be at the forefront of keeping our systems and data safe, managing security incidents, and working closely with different teams to ensure we’re always one step ahead of potential threats.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assess Security: Review and test our existing systems and new projects to make sure they meet our security standards and spot any potential weaknesses.
  • Respond to Incidents: Be the go-to person for security issues in the Americas. Lead investigations, manage responses, and work to resolve any threats that come up.
  • Manage Vulnerabilities: Help us stay on top of security gaps by identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing vulnerabilities. Work with teams to fix them promptly.
  • Collaborate: Work with IT, Product, and Security teams to put in place strong security measures and share your insights on improving our security.
  • Document & Report: Keep thorough records of security incidents and assessments. Prepare reports for senior management on what’s happening in the security space.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a similar field.
  • Certifications: Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are needed. Cloud Security certifications (e.g., CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty) are a big plus.
  • Experience: Solid experience in cybersecurity, especially within a Security Operations (SecOps) setting. Experience with security audits, incident response, and vulnerability management is preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and cloud security practices is important.

  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security issues in a way that’s easy to understand.
  • Negotiation skills to help get everyone on board with best security practices.
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving security issues.
  • The ability to work well with others and adapt to changing priorities, including during mergers and acquisitions. A drive to keep learning and growing in the cybersecurity field.
