Summary :

We are creating our next generation technology platform and applications through re-usable cloud services. These cloud native applications are being built using various AWS technologies within a micro-services based architecture and an API first approach.

You will be joining a key team developing the underlying cloud platform that will shape the future of all IRIS products and will gain exposure to many new and exciting technologies along the way.

We are looking for an senior automation test engineer with extensive experience of integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure the smooth delivery of regular production deployments.  This role is part of a key project developing the product roadmap that will shape the future of IRIS products and will gain exposure to many new and exciting technologies along the way.


Responsbilities :

  • Creating automated test cases using modern frameworks for integration with our CI/CD pipeline
  • Monitoring the CI/CD pipeline and fixing/escalating as appropriate
  • Working with Scrum teams to plan sprints effectively and ensure sprints are completed
  • Ensure peer reviews of test cases are being completed for all tasks and that these are consistently following departmental guidelines
  • Actively ensure testing standards are being upheld and that test cases cover risk areas
  • Take an active role in retrospectives to drive improvement to software or processes where applicable

Experience :

Must Have -

  • Experience as a test engineer for a company producing cloud based software products
  • Experience (1+ years) of test automation for UI, API and Load testing using tools such as Specflow, Selenium, POSTMAN, JMeter
  • Cross browser testing
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment and continuous delivery
  • Experience of team based testing approach

Desirable -

  • Experience (1+ years) of AWS cloud (S3, RDS, Cloudwatch, SQS, Postgres)
  • Experience with non-functional testing
  • Experience with security testing
  • Montioring
    • how to write queries / read logs setup dashboards for/from a monitoring tool. Ex: AWS CloudWatch / Elastic Stack, Prometheus / Azure Application Insights / Datadog
  • An understanding of DevOps concepts and practices / CI/CD concepts – Teamcity
  • Experience with code quality tools (Sonarqube, Snyk etc.)
  • AWS Certifications
  • ISTQB Certification
