The product landscape at IRIS is constantly evolving and as we continue to scale across the Americas, we're hiring for a VP, of Product Management (this role can be remote for those with a US Right-to-work). 

The VP of Product Management, Americas at IRIS Global will lead the strategic direction and execution for the Accounting, HCM (Human Capital Management), and Payroll product lines across the Americas.

This role is pivotal in executing the product strategy and roadmap to fulfil our aggressive business OKRs (Objectives and Key Results), encompassing product roadmap delivery, double-digit revenue growth, cloud migrations and driving product cross-sell.

The position demands an outcome-oriented product leader who can drive product strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with client needs, partners (technology, operations, sales, marketing etc) and aggressive company OKRs. The VP of Product, Americas will report to the Chief Product Officer and sit on IRIS America’s Senior Leadership Team. The VP Product will also own our Artificial Intelligence Product Competency.

Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy, Roadmap and Leadership:

  • Define and articulate product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Lead and develop the Americas product team
  • Partner internally with engineering, sales/marketing, business development, operations and services, and externally with customers and partners to document clear product requirements and time-phased roadmap priorities
  • Create, maintain and communicate product roadmaps on a monthly basis
  • Define, articulate and manage product requirements based on direct client feedback
  • Screen potential acquisitions for fit with product strategy, roadmap and architecture
  • Attract, develop, and retain a world-class product team
  • Create a team culture that fosters innovation, collaboration and accountability to drive results

Robust Product Development:

  • Lead product delivery across functions to deliver the product roadmap and supporting features
  • Lead product program execution meetings with cross-functional stakeholders to track and drive product execution and deliver OKRs including NPS, revenue growth, cloud migrations and cross-sell
  • Partner with engineering to manage an effective software development lifecycle (SDLC) process to predictably deliver high-quality product and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Adopt rigor in all activity including use of product tools, processes and methodologies such as JIRA, Agile, Product Roadmap Software
  • Build and enhance product capabilities at IRIS global including Competitor Benchmarking, Pricing, Product NPS, User Feedback, Build vs Buy Analysis
  • Evangelize and drive adoption of the agile development methodology and lean product principles (i.e. Launch and Iterate)

Best-in-Class User Experience and Commercialization:

  • Proactively gain client input to drive product prioritization via sales ride-alongs, monitoring service calls and structured user feedback (i.e. user experience research)
  • Conduct research in conjunction with internal/external domain experts to identify competitive threats, emerging trends, and opportunities for product growth to inform longer-term roadmap priorities
  • Be the voice of the product function inside and outside IRIS Global including analysts, customers, partners/accountants, and industry event communications where detailed product knowledge is required
  • Develop a packaging strategy and product continuum that drives product cross-sell and enables IRIS Global to increase the Total addressable Market (i.e. going up-market etc)
  • Demonstrate creativity and including believing in the art of the possible, balanced with the discipline to execute
  • Conduct product demos with key clients and internal stakeholders via in-person demos and client webinars
  • Drive best practice use of product roadmap, communication and wireframe tools


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 12+ years’ experience in product management, product development, commercial product leadership
  • Excellent track record of for full lifecycle product management, successfully driving new products/services into the market
  • A deep understanding of SaaS software
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence
  • People manager with experience leading and growing a high-performing team
  • Experience in working with accounting, payroll or HR software desired (desired

Required Education:
BS in Computer Science and/or Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education:
MBA or MS degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering

Expectations:
Full-time position. Demanding a high-growth environment and expectations. Remote role with East Coast time zone preferred (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts etc). Travel will be required to evaluate acquisitions, meet with clients and conduct product demos.
