IRIS FMP’s Global Payments team are looking to recruit a Global Payments Specialist to facilitate payroll payments on behalf of IRIS FMP’s payroll customers.

As a team, they currently deliver c. £300M/50,000 payments a year to over 200 countries and territories in multiple currencies. IRIS Software Group partners with Western Union Business Solutions (WUBS/Convera) to offer our Global Payments solution which allows customers to send us one payment for all of their payroll and invoice needs.

The Global Payments Specialist will manage the inbound funds from clients and outbound funds to the relevant beneficiaries for client payrolls – e.g., salary, tax, and pension payments.

You will manage funds reconciliations of inbound and outbound funds using WUBS’ GlobalPay platform and client payment confirmations, resolving any internal and external queries relating to this and escalating any issues to the Global Payments Team Leader as appropriate.

Responsibilities 

  • Set up and maintain beneficiaries (client employees and third parties) on payments software
  • Approval of payments raised by junior colleagues
  • Assist Global Payments Team Leader with ad hoc administration duties as required
  • Assist Global Payments Team Leader to ensure that all departmental KPIs are met and SLA reporting is completely accurately and promptly
  • Manage internal/external queries with our payments partner to ensure that funds are requested and received ahead of credit dates.
  • Manage all payments end-to-end from inbound funds to outbound funds to beneficiaries, by payment regulations, and internal approval models and ensuring credit dates are met, inclusive of salary pay dates and deadlines with tax/benefits offices
  • Proactively engage internal and external stakeholders (e.g. customers, tax or benefit offices, subcontractors) via multiple communication tools as required.
  • Query and incident management, inclusive of escalation to Global Payments Team Leader or other team managers as required.
  • Consistently promotes best practices providing services and support to internal and external stakeholders, driving customer retention.

 

Ideal person and competencies 

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen • A solid understanding/experience working with international companies across multiple time zones and cultures, inclusive of the currencies within these countries
  • Previous experience within a payroll environment would be useful, previous experience within a payments environment preferred
  • Previous experience and a proven track record of processing accurate, compliant payments is a must.
